TSRemux is not needed if you use TSMuxer. TSMuxer is much more advanced IMO and is quite easy to use. The "trick" on seamless branching titles is to find the right playlist. For that you'll need to go through them with BDEdit to find the one that matches the main movie. A little trick someone told me is to look for the larger playlist files on the BD itself and check those first. One of them is bound to be the movie. Open that playlist in TSMuxer, set the output to BD folder structure, and it'll create you a folder that can be converted to ISO and/or burned. Or output it to m2ts and you can then split it for multiple DVD's as this guide was originally showing.

The reason this is confusing is that it's new technology and the tools aren't really developed to a "point and click" type of polish. If that's what you're looking for, you're going to be sorely disappointed. We're a ways away from that point. We're getting closer with each new release of these tools but we still have a ways to go. BD structures are enormously complex.

I have been unable to get the DVD to play on a Samsung 1400, there is video but it is jerky and no sound.

Plays O.K. on the computer both sound and video using Power DVD Ultra.

Does this program have a problem with stand alone Blue Ray players?.

Jerky video and no sound, looks like you didn't do it correctly. That or you're using a bad blank disc and your samsung is sensitive compared to your PC drive.

When you said Plays O.K on the computer, were you playing on your PC drive or from harddrive?

It's possible, you can use the Trim option in Tsremux or option Split&Cut in Tsmuxer.

Thanks for the reply.

The DVD which I made the backup on plays correctly in the LG dvd drive in the computer, with both sound and video using Power DVD Ultra.
When placed in the Samsung Blu Ray 1400 player the video moves forward in jerks and produces no sound, the video is full screen and quite sharp.

Any suggestions?.

Re: BD2DVD: Blu-ray to DVD guide

@Doum82. strange... did you burn with ImgBurn and UDF2.50 option?

Try this one, it is Cars blu-ray about 37secs (Dolby Digital 5.1 + English subtitle), processed with tsremux. Use ImgBurn to burn to a CD-R, DVD+R or DVD-R. Don't use CD-RW or DVD RW.
http://www.sendspace.com/file/8gr0o1

Tested on my PS3 60GB and works fine. Please try on your players and let us know.

Re: BD2DVD: Blu-ray to DVD guide

Doum82, did you download the 90+MB ISO of Cars blu-ray from the link above and burn and test on your players?

I'm interested to see if the problem is the way you tsremux or the burner problem or the disc problem, or your players doesn't like it.

Re: BD2DVD: Blu-ray to DVD guide

Thanks for the tests Doum82.
Looking forward seeing more tests on the PS3 and perhaps while you're at friend's house you could burn the few seconds Cars blu-ray on friend's DVD writer and test on your players/PS3. Just trying to rule out burners problem (your UJ-857).

Re: BD2DVD: Blu-ray to DVD guide

Downloaded the test file and burned it with ImgBurn to a TY DVD+R at 8X on the LG GGW-H20L.

Plays perfectly on the Samsung BP-1400 Blu-ray player and on my system using Nero ShowTime with HD plug-in.

Re: BD2DVD: Blu-ray to DVD guide

Hi

Nice thread!

I was messing around with TSRemuxer last night and muxed

Resident Evil rip to just the movie itself and it came out nice!

I also tried a HD-DVD rip of Van Helsing and was able to mux

it to m2ts. It played on Power DVD8 with No audio.

Played on Nero Showtime with audio

Anyone tried this yet?

Re: BD2DVD: Blu-ray to DVD guide

will there be a update in the guiode in the near future?and when doing step 4 when you open image burn and drag the bdmv and certificate folder..do you need to do thid to each 4 blank discs that you are going to burn? or just once and image burn will tell you to insert a new disc when the first one is finished burning?

Sorry for the late respond. Yes you need to do that for each burn.

Re: BD2DVD: Blu-ray to DVD guide

Hi all, I've followed the instructions in this post to the letter and the resultant DVD wont play on my Sharp BD-HP20H - it even spits out the Cars sample! Curiously, each of the DVDs that wont play on the Sharp all contain mt2s files in the Stream folder that play on my pc.
Please help, I'm running out of Verbatim DVD+R DL discs. Regards TL

I updated the first post adding another example of Cars in ISO (found in post #109), could you please try burning the 2nd Cars sample into DVD single layer and see if it works on your Sharp? If it still not working, I wonder if your Sharp supports playback AVCHD.
