BDEdit. Go through each playlist file until you find the one that corresponds to the main movie. (Look at the play time). Then you can open that particular playlist file in TSRemuxer 1.76b or higher.

That one I can't help you with. I would possibly try TSRemuxer 1.76b or higher. TSRemux 0.20 is pretty darn good, too, but, TSRemuxer has been seeing more updates lately with some pretty sweet feature additions.

Ok it worked perfectly. After your first try to teach me how to do I wasn`t able to find the tool because you named it TSREMUXER, I have it now, its called TSMUXER 1.76b
So finally it works, thanks for your help (excuse my english)

how many stadard dvd's will it take to fit a bd movie? and do i need a blueray rom to extract it to my hard drive? and last which program will rip it to my hard drive? thanks

That's not really the best way to think about it. BD's will take anywhere from 20-50 gigs on your hard drive. If you want to rip the latest titles, you'll need AnyDVD HD from Slysoft. I use CloneCD to make ISO images of my discs and then mount them with Virtual CloneDrive to play them. Works great.

how much space do i need on my pc to back up and make and to write to dvd9? for example lets say the movie is 50 gig..first i use any dvd to back up to my hard drive 50 gigs..then i use remux is this another 50?..then i need to use hdbdsplit..is this anothe 50 gigs? thanks...

Yiou must try that out...there is no movie on BD etc with 50gb.

ok if using BD2DVD: Blu-ray to DVD on average how much space is required on your hard drive to complete a blueray dvd? from first step to last?

Depends on the movie structure, some are standard (main movie in 1 m2ts files), some are seamless (main movie in many m2ts files).

Ok lets say the blu-ray movie is 50GB, that's including main movie (say a standard structure, 2 hours and a hidef audio and a bunch of other DD5.1 audio streams, total 40GB), plus extra features and etc etc.

You would need to rip to hdd first, total 50GB.

Then you need to remux the main movie with 1 DTS-HD MA stream and 1 subtitle stream. You can remux directly to blu-ray format or to m2ts file (for further processing), say the result is 32GB.

The 35GB won't fit BD-R/RE so either you can burn into BD-R/RE DL or splits the files.

Say you want to split to DVD9.

Take the single m2ts file and use BDHDSplit to 8GB each, result is four mt2s files, total still 32GB. Then each file need to remux into blu-ray structure (BDMV and CERTIFICATE folders), another 32GB.

Then burn four blu-ray to four DVD9.

So for the standard 1 m2ts file splitting to DVD9 you need 50+32+32+32GB.

Now the seamless structure (main movie in several m2ts files).

First you need to rip to hdd, 50GB.
Then you need to find out which m2ts files are the main movie, then combine them into a single m2ts file with dos command "copy /b xxx1.mt2s + xxx2 .m2ts etc etc", say the result is 40GB. Then you need to remux it and keep 1 audio and 1 subtitle, result 32GB. Then split into four 8GB to fit DVD9, then remux to blu-ray structure.

Total space needed for this one is 50+40+32+32+32GB.

Personally I wouldn't worry about the space, a 500GB hdd is "only" 70-99 bucks nowdays, but the time consuming processing these files is the main concern here. But at the end if you made a working backup you will feel good.

can this method be used to keep the DTS audio streams? Almost every guide I have come across shows the AC3 audio being kept, but not DTS..

Yes you can keep any audio you want, including DTS-HD Master Audio, DTS-HD RA, or the core DTS.

Click start, run, type cmd and hit enter. That's the dos prompt he's referring to.

And I can burn it onto a disc (DVD+DL/BR-R/BD-RE), and the audio will play, regardless if it is DTS, DTS-HD, DTS-HD Master Audio, etc??

Yes, you can select 1 or more audio streams and you can switch audio stream from the remote. But your player must support them.

i have read about these

BDedit v0.12b8 (courtesy of pelican9 @ doom9) – required only for seamless branching discs (e.g. close encounters)

TSsplitter 1.01 (courtesy of fast forward projects) – required only for seamless branching

this would be easier right?
and on average is most blueray movies seamless branch discs?

First off, tsmuxer 1.84 can handle seamless branching titles by opening the correct playlist. (Use BDEdit to find the right playlist). That is the easiest way I know of.

I think the majority are not seamless branching. I only found 4-5 titles so far (looking at the filesize where there's no single large size m2ts).

there is no mention of tsmuxer in this guide...how do you use it,and can you use it instead of tsremux....this is confusing...

Tsmuxer was released after this guide is made. I haven't play with tsmuxer a lot but if the features are better I will try to update the guide as soon as I'm able.
