CD and DVD Writers Discuss, 52X cdrs burn at the same speed of 10X cdrs why? at Computer Hardware forum; Hi I have a 52x24x52 Lite-on cdrw and run windows 2000 sp4 and the latest version on Nero Burning Rom, I was wonder why my 52X cds take 7 minutes to *write which is the same time it takes me to burn a 10X cdrw, 7 minutes.

Is DMA enabled?

If not, that will be the problem.
