| 10 Best Value Blu-ray players At Electronic House they've made a slideshow with ten Blu-ray players you should or could buy. As many know we can expect some price drops during the upcoming holiday season, so this might be the slideshow to check out before buying a blue present... Of course we remember Sony's recent $100 price drop and the slideshow will show you a few "big name machines selling at $299". Electronic House intros its slideshow with a small article stating that the consumer electronics industry is betting that many of us are planning to go 'blu' during the next Christmas. Memorex is dubbed as the company with the "bargain shopper". Although it's still a Profile 1.1. machine, Electronic House believes that $269 is enough to give the MVBD-2510 a spot in their "Best Value" list. Which of the following is on your wish list? |

| Re: 10 Best Value Blu-ray players "Value" is a subjective term. For my money, none of these players is a good value because they do virtually nothing well except play BD discs. I will gladly pay 2x these prices for a player that does everything well, or at least tries. It's gotten to the point with BD players that everyone thinks a player is a great deal just because it does everything that BD players should have been doing from the start. If it doesn't at least upscale DVDs very well and decode and bitstream all HD audio, then it's worth nothing.
