I havent had any experiences with Antivirusgolden but you should try Kaspersky, or Nod 32 as your antivirus. I have had better luck with Nod 32 though. But i believe that you will be very pleased with both their performances. There are alot of spyware removers people swear by, but i stick with spybot and adaware (Neither of these programs have ever let me down).

In my opinion the best way to catch and remove spyware and adaware is to use Spybot along with AdAware and Webroot SpySweeper. Scan and update weekly and you have yourself an excellent amount of protection.

I have used several different Antivirus programs. Norton, AVG and Nod are all good at what they do. For me the decision is based on how quickly updates are issued, Ease of removal when a virus is found, and how much of a resource hog or intrusive a scanner is. Honestly I am using Systemsuite ATM and am very happy with it. Very easy on the system resources, reasonably quick updates, and does a fine job on the occasion that I have had a virus. An added bonus is the tools that come included in Systemsuite. I really think it is a excellent program.

In the end though you still have to be smart or no matter what program you use you will get hammered. From all the choices out there you easily can find one you are happy with and does a good job.

I don´t think there is a real "best"
...but there are several set-ups that seem ok for the novice:

I would suggest AVG or Anvir or Avast as the basic (free) anti-virus program...essential to keep them up-to-date daily, and running a scan at least once every 24 hours

In addition, a malware scanner such as Spybot (my choice), Ad-aware (I´ve heard this is compromised after pressure from some leading website whose tracking cookies are now no longer detected), or Malwarebytes. Update and run this every few days.

Keep your inbuilt free firewall turned on.

Turn off the keep history functions in your browser

Run a "cleaner" such as CCleaner every few days to eliminate unnecessary temporary files and cookies

Defrag from time to time (just a general tip)

Don´t open anything (emails, attachments, programs...) you don´t trust or seems a bit dodgy.

Then, if you are still concerned, or have problems, you may have to reinstall the material from installation CD again (I.e. the whole OS)...so viel Glück!!!

Windows Live One Care from MS is a good one also but remember you will need several because one program might not detect some and the other program would

I really like the Kaspersky Internet Security 2010. It has everything you'll need. It's about 80 bucks though.

You can get the basic anti-virus without full security for about 50 though.
