I cant say if you asking or saying it with irony. Are you saying that "nobody says Winamp" (meaning that the famous Winamp cannot read cd-text) or... are you suggesting that Winamp DOES actually reads cd-text and people forgot to mention it???

Really, is there any plug-in maybe, for winamp so it can read cd-text ???

The error message is informative, you simply have a corrupt or missing ASPI layer!
Reinstall ASPI and try again...

My pc is freshly installed (recently formatted) and just installed W2000SP4, with all windows updates patches from the Windows update and is fully up to date. No application whatsoever is malfunctioning. PlexTools and nero are performing perfectly. If i had an ASPI problem, PlexTools would have recognised it at once! (wouldn't it?). PlexTools are very clever and discover all possible problems! It is running smoothly as recorder, as player, as cd-text reading etc. How could all these work fine if i had an ASPI problem??? I think it's a faulse error!
Am i wrong?
If i should run aspi again (as you propose) should i use the "ForceASPI" utility i have from the past?

Using NeroInfoTool check your ASPI first if all is fine w it.



Use ForceASPI (available in my sig) if needed

i get cd text on roxio 9 with jukebox burning cd but it wont get text when burning in audio cd. can anyone help so i can get cd text in audio burning.

Very tricky problem. I found solution of reading Audio Cd Text, but only in Windows Media Player... here is the link for WMP plugin: http://bmproductions.fixnum.org/inde.../wmpcdtext.htm ... Exact Audio Copy will also read and write CD-Text.

But for the most part if I want to know if the text is configuired when writing I burn the disc to a CD-RW and feed it to my car stereo...

If the text displays properly then I'll burn it to a CD-R

as for software reading text? mostly irrelevant to me as the database lookups employed by all my player software usually identify a pressed disc. and most pressed discs don't have CD-Text information (though it's gradually gaining acceptance)
