IS Nero the latest version able to copy anything

Burning Software Discuss, IS Nero the latest version able to copy anything at Software forum; I've used Nero for ages until it couldnt copy Safedisc, so i chose Clone CD but on some german webistes, they have stated that Nero can copy most protections, but o examples were given, if Nero can copy most protection can some1 gimme a list

I generally use Nero for copying personal files to CD but VERY rarely use it to backup software.

I haven't tried the absolute latest Nero but I have version 5.5 and I know that CANNOT (on my cd-writer anyway) copy any game with decent protection e.g. SD, SD2

My advice would be to get hold of the latest Nero get a good quality rewritable cd and test it out on a heavily protected game such as MOHAA or even Red Alert 2 (just to see if it can deal with old version of SD).

nero can backup standard formats of CD only.

if you plan to backup non-standards format use clone to make 1:1
backups.

Nero does not have sufficient copy protection reading and writing capability to backup any Safedisc games, although a few people have reported that it works. The majorirty vote is that CLONECD is the only burning program that will make working backups of copy protected games.

The Sweet Burning suite includes
1) CloneCD for disc duping.
2) Nero for everything else.
