i saw a site where it shows how you open up your playstation, and change a few things and then you can boot the burnt games with the service disc, but the burnt games have to be modified and blah, pretty complicated though. anyway don't think it's legal to discuss, and so i won't give u the site.

Your best bet is to get a modchip always other boot methods (slidecard etc) might work but in my opinion are not worth the hassle..
