I recently purchased what i believe is an awesome pc ... well to people like me who are pc illiterate in a kinda way anyways ,  My problem .... I can't burn DVD's I am using Nero 8 software and it tells me the drive is capable of burning cd's But it wont it keeps telling me i am using the wrong kind of discs . I know the solution has to be simple I just can't work out WHY i cant burn DVD's onto dvd-r or dvd+r discs but it says it can just won't. A lil info bout my pc AMD ATHLON 64 5000+ 2.6Ghz DUAL CORE Socket cpu Socket AM2 ALL-IN-ONE Motherboard 4GB DDRII 800mhz ram 640gb SATAII HDD 7200Rpm, 20x DVD-RW with dual layer support supports + and - format disks. 256MB Onboard Graphics PCI-Express 16x port for future upgrades onboard 5.1 surround sound support onboard 10/100 Network, 2 SATA II ports upto 3gb/s usb ports 4 back and 2 front Cool Black 550watt ATX tower case Help please its driving me insane! | Hi AusAngel and welcome to CDFreaks forums  Please give some more of info regarding the make of your dvd recorder and what exactly it is that you are trying to do that's not working. You are mentioning CDs at some point and then DVDs. COuld it be that you are trying to record DVD-video on CDs or something like that?

| Sorry I never got back my pc was on strike ! I have fixed the problem thankyou for your reply ! I wasn't using the correct software to convert to disc I knew it had to be something I was doing wrong . Im a trial and error pc addict lol. Cheers from Australia and thankyou for your time anyways !
