I have three things: blank DVDs, a .WMV file that I want to burn to a DVD so I can play in a stand alone DVD player, and a DVD burner drive with which to burn the DVD. Welcome to the forum. I use FAVC, others use AVStoDVD (not the AVS software in the banner ad) and DVDFlick is a third free one that gets a lot of mention.

If you are new to the game DVD Flick would be the best choice. The others mentioned are fine but will need some codec fiddling.
