Farstone (MIS)quotes cdfreaks in their description

Although this is a very false and misleading statement, well it's a downright lie read here
Thats just part of it, and as you can see they clearly left out the plextor premium and blindwrite, they also say that no copy no matter what you use will not work without filters, auto-play, rmps and so forth, don't know about you guys but I don't need auto-play on my safedisk titles unless i'm using a cdrw.

I guess these people will lie about anything to sell their product Blindwrite has never needed daemon tools to work and neither has alcohol they work without daemon tools.
Oh yea and what illegal decrypters are we using?
we shall see, what this piece of work claims if it works as good as it lies or misleads it should be killer, I doubt it.

They offer a 30 day try and die. Wonder why they didn't contact Domi or MP|3 .. like every other author does, for some testing and review? There's no way I'm putting any of my email addys into their system

I'm running it thru it's paces right now, but to complete Call of Duty it says it will take over 2 hours to do, funny thing is it won't let me do screenshots, need something better any ideas? It too installs a scsi driver. I am using the TDK 840G to do the image it took 8:57 to do call of duty with BW from start to finish.

I didn't have any 800mb cdrs and there was no way Drive Copy would let me write to a 700mb cdr, so I wrote to a dvdr, yea I went ahead and wasted a couple because they just didn't work, I kept getting the "insert correct cd error"

Because it failed misereably, nothing worked no matter what I tried, the program just does not work. As far as I am concerned it was a total failure.

I bought Game Drive from Farstone about a year ago. The software only gets updates via online automatic updates, so right now, that software can only back up 5 year old games. I've tried contacting customer support at Farstone so many times with questions, suggestion, and I never get a reply back. I finally wrote them a nasty email telling them "why they hell would I buy your new Game Drive 8.0 retail, when I've owned the original. Shouldn't I at least get a discount or even a free update for being a customer?"

They don't give individual updates for download on Game Drive, and who knows what other software of theirs. They are a very unorganized, non customer caring, and possibly the most clueless game copying software company on the market. "The first to offer software that copy's games" That's their quote.

I'll never buy another thing from them. Bad business.

Thanks Hemispasm. I've been visiting this site's home page for months now, so I thought I'd check out the forums I didn't even realize existed. ha. I saw the Farstone post and couldn't hold back.

So far with the testing of GameCopy I have done the results are very disapointing.
This is not CD backup software like we here are used to, GameCopy will make an image (its not very good at image making IMHO) and then you can write the image to disc, now this is where things start to differ. The image file and a virtual drive loader are written on the CD, then when you load the burnt disc in a CD drive it will load the image from the disc into a virtual drive.
Most of the images it made were too large to burn to CD and the ones I did get to write failed at the end of writing with a "Failed to Finalize" error. When the discs were loaded into a CD drive it was possible to explore the discs but if I attempted to run them Windows would lockup.

Perhaps we should contact them and point out that we don't want to have them misquote us (or quote out of context), as this is damaging to our reputation.

Farstone's promotional material is simply a mixture of misquotes, selective and out-of-context quotes and "deliberate" misinterpretations of my CloneCD: Securom 4.8x Tute and its alcohol equivalent.

I'm a bit pressed for time right now so can't deal with this in detail but will post more extensively on the issue later this weekend.

In the meantime, let's simply say that if the forum were a commercial operation, I'd be recommending that we sue the arses (oz spelling) off them (and I have plenty of solicitor, junior counsel and QC m8s who are specialists in this area who would be happy to do so).

Both relevant tutes were written months before the releases of the plex premium and the first version of blindwrite that enables a more or less "1:1" copy of securom 4.8x cds with that writer.

I'll amend both tutes over the weekend to reflect that fact.]

I didn't mean anything was just trying to make a point, it's evident they cruise these forums and I want them to see this and let them know that we at cdfreaks know whats going on and where Farstone is coming from and going to and some good examples of how not to get there.
Had nothing to do with the tutes, just the obvious.

I seen this game copy program in a computer book at work.
and yea. I was a little excited about it. I never heard of or seen the company before.
I did notice that they mentioned cdfreaks. and that the game copy program was the first program to be able to copy games. lol. what a joke.
and now if the program can not actualy back up a game like they say and advertise on the internet and on the comptuer magazines that is already out. welll. I think some one should have a serious talk about a lawsuit.

I even posted a few post on some forums telling others about this program. based on what I read on thier site and in the magazine.
I might get that program and try it out. if it dont work. then something needs to be done. leagualy.
