DVD dics freezes when playing in standalone player

I have been ripping eppisodes of Futurama from DVD to my hard drive and then using DVD Shrink to compress and re-author the projects
and then Nero to burn my eppisodes so that they will play automaticly, with no annoying menu's

but a couple of times when im playing the discs in my Toshiba DVD player about 5 minutes from the end of the last eppisode, the picture and audio starts to break up, and then the disc will hault alltogether, and all i can do is eject the disc

i tried shrinking the project a little more so that it becomes 4.4GIG instead of 4.7 and this seems to fix it

would anyone else know if this is caused by using cheap blank DVD's (i use Princo)
of if it is the Burner that has trouble burning to the very edges of the disc (i use a gigabye burner, its a liteon rebadged)

any suggestions would be appreciated

I once had a similar problem as i was using CloneDVD (which uses Nero for burning). My standalone had problems reading data from the DVD+R disc and reported a data error. Since then i always rip with DVDDecrypter and use DVD2ONE for transcoding. Works fine for me!
