dude, I am all lost with this stuff. i have windows XP.
I read these posts... but they didn't resolve my problem. I just want to copy diablo II cd2 to another CD. not just, isn't that easy huh ?!
I donwloaded clonecd, clonyxxl, aspi_v472a2 from http://download.adaptec.com/software...spi_v472a2.exe

after installing aspi, clonyxxl runs an error when executed
"ups.../ secured start.../ ClonyXXL wasn't closed right or it crashed./ A cause could be wrong ASPI layers./ CLony will now start without ASPI layers/ With the next start the ASPI layers will be loaded again.

a brazilian forum was written to intall ASPI for WinXP users. so I did it.
but the point is, i want to copy diablo2 cd2 and I can't.
i tried with clonyxxl with nero first,
then used this ASPI stuff, so this error appeared

I am a little lost here following your thread, what is Clonyxxl? The threads you referred to are 5 years old. I would like to help but I am not familar with ClonyXXL. EDIT After a little research I have found that ClonyXXL is just a program that tell you what protections are on the disc. Is this correct? It does not remove them, it just informs you of what is there. I hope I am not wrong here LOL.

man, i think it helps the burn program to make the image. it does not only inform if the cd has protection....

You can use the search facility with entering the text "Diablo II" (make sure you add the speech marks before and after the characters).

The copy protection used is securom new. Use any of the standard duplicating programs (alcohol 120%, blindwrite or CloneCD) with appropriate settings and you shouldn't have any particular difficulties so long as your reader/writer combination handles sub-codes reasonably well.

Note too that you will need an atip hider (e.g alcohol's Ignore media type or CloneCD's Hide cdr media to play the back-up copy from a burner (unnecessary if you run the game from an ordinary cd/dvd rom).

yep, i know it has secuROM *new.
i used cloneCD, alcohol, nero, none of these could do the job.
what settings do i have to change ?
