copy PS2 game

Can someone please tell me how or what software to use to copy any PS2 game?

All one needs to copy PS2 games is dvddecyrpter. Use the ISO>Read option to write the original game to the hard disk, then, ISO>write to write the image to a blank disk. Dual layer games (gran turismo 4) require additional software.

Keep in mind, playing backups requires that you have a modchip installed or other software boot method.

Yup, unless you are using some sort of mod method you are wasting your time trying to do backups. Beyond that backups are a cinch. I personally prefer DVD Decrypter. Read original in ISO mode to your computer HD, then write in ISO mode back to quality DVD-R, BAM!!!! Perfect working PS2 backup.
