Critical flaw in Adobe Flash Player

Adobe warned today regarding a critical flaw in older versions of their Flash Player plug-in which could lead to users' systems being compromised following reports that cyber criminals have managed to find a way to exploit the flaw.

Security firm Kaspersky advises that the flaw can allow hackers to install a Trojan on PCs which can then be used to steal passwords and other sensitive information.

Apple has decided to block all older versions of the plug-in in its Safari Browser.

A fix has however been released today and users are strongly advised to update their Flash Player software to the latest version which will protect their systems from this vulnerability.
