Reason I ask, is I put Dj Tiesto's podcast on my IPod and his podcast has tracks in it! It's also a single .m4a file?? Maybe that has something to do with it.

Either way, just wondering if its possible, because my car mp3 player fast forwards an mp3 VERY SLOWLY, almost making it impossible to get anywhere late in the mix if you accidentally hit back...

Thanks

Yes. With mp3's you can't expect perfection when trying to create completely seamless tracks, especially with opticals.

Try an audio editor such as Audacity.

Import the tracks...copy and paste each one by one until you have a long single track.

Add track markers...should work fine.

Let us know.

My old stay-home desktop machine has an older LG and an antique Plextor. There´s a Mac G4 lying around too...still not sure what to do with that yet . Just picked up a great netbook: the MSI Wind U100-L which has NO OPTICAL DRIVE but at least it´s black Finally, a Cube Reaction...which is a mountain bike <-- looks good and goes like the clappers (can I call it an "optical drive"?)

Most compressed audio foramts store music in blocks and if the music doesn't completely fill a block it gets padded with silence. Also most hardware that plays MP3 doesn't read ahead to omit the silence. Software players such as WinAmp will read ahead and play seamlessly. If you convert the stream to WAV and cut the WAV up and save the cuts as WAV you'll be alot closer to seamless. But to avoid the padded block, you'd need to keep it as WAV, and burn as an Audio CD limiting yourself to 80 minutes.
