Burning Error: Device command failed

Ok I have MJ 3.5.370.
I haven't been able to write anything to a cd yet.
I get the above error and it spits out the cd.

Nothing in a help file about this.

Anyone here have any suggestions?

and for me and everyone else who is having problems...
download the nero aspi layer.
but keep the layer they ship with it, the nero won't see my USB DVD drive, the one MJ ships with will but it doesn't see it as a drive letter just a long string of information.
So you then convert it then exit switch the aspi layers then you can burn.

I'd expect this if I had no brand no name drives, but when you can't support SONY products you have problems.

That's no issue of the brand of the external drive, that's due to the fact that the MS miniport drivers do not support really basic (but unfortunately not mandatory) functions like retrieving a device name from the SCSI ID. As you noticed, other ASPI layers neglect external drives completely... We're working on a better solution for support of external devices. For the moment, just blame MS

The fact the RecDev aspi layer doesn't support an internal Sony CDRW Drive isn't MS's fault. It does at least make my USB DVD+-RW drive visable, the nero aspi layer doesn't. Its a wee bit of a pain to have to rip to the HD then exit rename aspi files restart and then record them. What I don't understand is what/how Nero, Roxio are using to see the drive to burn to it when their aspi layers aren't compatiable with MJ.
