Best way to burn .AVI to DVD -RW discs

Burning Software Discuss, Best way to burn .AVI to DVD -RW discs at Software forum; Does anyone know the best way to do this where the burner will recognize the files on the disc after burning? I have a Sony DRU 800A and when I burn the AVI files to the disc the burner does not show the files on the disc but windows shows

Does anyone know the best way to do this where the burner will recognize the files on the disc after burning? I have a Sony DRU 800A and when I burn the AVI files to the disc the burner does not show the files on the disc but windows shows the disc as being full. the dvd will play on a stand alone player, but I can't erase the disc because the drive doesn't show anything on the disc.

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

I am not sure what software are you using for burning, but if the disc show in Windows, than the same software can erase it.
The disc is recognized by the drive.

Sorry about that- I misspoke. What I meant to say was that the drive and programs such as Nero and Alcohol don't recognize a disc being in the burner.
