I also thought I read some where that all 2.4x Verb DL was MIS....is this still correct? Any one else order the 20 packs of 2.4x Verbs and receive any thing other then MIS??

Any way..free shipping and price is not bad. Any one with any information please post..thanks

I've only gotten MIS when I've ordered 2.4x Verbs from Newegg. The last one I got was a couple of weeks ago.

That said, it was the 8x Verbs that were only MIS. The 2.4x were also MII.

Thanks guys

B & M I see no DL Verbs on sale (OM and Staples). That and gas..I live about 25 miles out from OM and 30 for Staples.

I may have to buy the 50 pack at Sams Club for $59..it will take me years to use that many.

The Egg is cheaperI just do not know if it is MIS.

Same with the 20 pack at microcenter..

However..suggested above is the 8x always MIS ?? If the 8x is MIS then I would probably go with that.

Any one know if there are any verb DL 2.4 or 8x on sale at B&M this week?

Also, any one know if the Verb 8x DL is MIS only...if I order online I do not want to get stuck with MII media.

Thanks

Thanks krkdnose!

Looks like the Verb 2.4 DL (50 pk at local Sams Club) is my only option, so I can make sure they are MIS. Well,at least I will be stocked up..I rarely use DL media.

What about the Falcon DVD DL..are they any where near as good as the as the DL MIS Verbs?

I still have not seen any local sales (BB, Staples, OM are the ones in my area. Maybe something will come up soon..but I only have like 4 of the 8x Verb DL left.

Thanks for input guys..and if any one thinks the Falcons are any good please post.

I read a post on the DL Falcons a couple days ago...I should have bookmarked it, the search engine for cdfreaks does not give me any love.

Thank you Dave and Negritude.

I think I will be taking a hike over to Best Buy. 20 DL discs is enough to last me quite a while.

By 6x I take it you mean the 2.4 to 6x? Any way..I will call them tomorrow as BB is like a 35-40 minute drive for me..I am out in the sticks.

They have a quite a few good places to eat..I will prob take the wife out to lunch there.

Thanks for info

Guess I lucked out. Just received my order from newegg today. I ordered 3 spindles of the Verbatim 2.4x +R DL and all 3 states Singapore as place of manufacture on the package. I'm going to open them up and look at the serial #.

Anyway to tell if the media is MIS pr MII just by the serial numbers?

From post above:

"Anyway to tell if the media is MIS pr MII just by the serial numbers?"

Well that would stink if it said MIS on the package and it was made some where else..I saw another thread with this same question and no one answered...I am interested to see if someone answers that question in this thread.

I was going to order from Newegg and played it safe with buying from SAMS Club where I could see MIS on the package..but it is the new style package...I have not opened mine yet..I am hoping I got a good batch.

Roadhog, probably cause no one knows!

Anyway, heres couple of shots of the spindle packaging. Apparently all the numbers on the side of the cake boxes are the same, which I thought was weird.
