Next weeks ads (4/19/09 US)

I got office max, office depot, staples, bestbuy and target plus fry's sun ad. There was no media at cvs, walgreens (I think, I only sas ad scans online and there seemed to be too few pages), and sears. Fyi as I was running so late, I just stole the bestbuy scans off slick deals instead of scanning myself.

On a side note, I may be changing how/when I do the ads. They have been sceduling me late on saturdays. They are changing to a computer generated scedule which may make me work even later (5:30 next week). it doesn't seem to make much scense to post just a few hours before the ads are out. As I have been getting most of it online latley, I'm kind of thinking I might post whatever I can find online on friday (and have friday be the normal day I post), then I can add whatever on saturday (though it might be late. I guess I'll have to see what the new computer generated scedules are throwing out (the store manager is not completly following them yet but I assume he will have to eventually).
Also, as there has been some intrest in frys media, I was kind of thinking of posting some of theirs. As the newspaper deals may not be good online though, I'm still kind of thinking about it (as there are not that many fry's stores). What does everyone think about post ing fry's media?
Also, if anyone knows a good source for getting the kmart ad early, I though that might be good to add (there are no kmarts in the dfw area so they don't advertize here).

Thanks ripit, No Fry's in my area but its nice to use the prices for comparison. Maybe even
a occasional online ad noted in the newspaper ad.

Fry's sometimes have some good deals, but most of the time they limit your purchase to 1 per customer. I've been burned on their mobo/processor combo specials before, too.

This week, Fry's have TDK 100 packs on special.

got an ecs board for 25$ on clearance from fry's, didn't get the warranty, it fried (shortly after exchange period but it was only 25$ for a 100$ ecs board). Damn it, gonna have to go back to the old ecs board that wont run ddr2 (its ddr or ddr2 capable but only works with ddr). So what if I have to gut another system that needs it to get some ddr, the 6 gig of ddr2 that sits on the shelf should sit on the shef....\

In case you didn't catch it, I'm havind anger and rage problems with an ecs boards (specifically one that came in a frys combo). I reverted back to it after I got screwed on a frys ecs board.

did I mention that I got screwed on a kingston rebate and frys takes no responsibility (though kingston says frys was at fault). Beware frys oem packaging (if it requires a retail package bar code, and frys gives you oem packaging, to bad for you).
Ok, rant over....

In my situation, I got burned with a Fry's PC Chips/ AMD Sempron chip combo. The PC Chips board (which turned out to be refurbished + not even approved by AMD for use with AMD chips) fried the AMD chip, and Fry's would not replace the mobo or the chip. I got AMD to replace the chip, and then bought a new mobo elsewhere.

I was very annoyed because it took me several trips to Fry's only to have them blame me for installing the processor fan backwards, causing it to overheat. They hooked it up at Fry's, used a different speed AMD chip that actually worked, and claimed the board was fine. While the board worked with the speed chip they had, it didn't with the chip they had sold me with the combo, and THEY KNEW THAT. Later, I found a lot of complaints on the AMD forum about their combos not working. I was annoyed that they took other people's systems back without issue and gave refunds -- some guy ahead of me returned a case and mobo, with the mobo still installed (!), and they gave him several thousand dollars back without even batting an eye -- yet they wouldn't give me my $39.95 back and wasted an hour testing my board to prove it was my fault... argh.
