Morbius--don't worry about the type of spacer with the Sony DVD+Rs. As long as they are 8x and MIJ, they are guaranteed to be Taiyo Yudens. I've gotten both circular and octagonal spacers, and they've always been TY.

By the way, unless all of those 1300 are TYs, you should do more stockpiling! They are the best media I've ever come across. My BenQ's absolutely love them. I don't think I've had a single coaster in hundreds of burns.

Well, I just returned from one of my local Sears stores. It was a bit of a hassle first but I wound up leaving the store with (4) 50 packs (200 discs) of Sony 8X DVD+R MIJ media for $49.18 total. They only had 4 packs left so I'll be checking more Sears stores in the area to pickup more before a new ad comes out.

As he was scanning everything and got a total he asked a manager to come to electronics. It wound up being the same manager I dealt with yesterday so he immediately remembered me. I began explaining the error that was made yesterday. He checked the website, pulled up the ad...and there it was. He almost seemed a little disgusted when he realized I was correct. I had a huge grin on my face and even chuckled as I was leaving.

I want to thank Allen (Sears manager) for his hard work and dedication on my issue. He's located at the Avenues Mall here in Jacksonville, FL. (sarcasm)

These waves of PIE are pretty

Seriousely though : NEC scans are not good for showing true PIE values , if you can scan with Benq or LiteOn , do it and you will see a big difference .

PIF on the other hand are very good
