Sony -R and +R used to be decent. But not anymore. I had to throw away a large number of +R's I bought on sale (100 pack) a few months back for $22 because the scans were absolutely garbage. Avoid Sony media, if possible.

Are you sure it wasn't a fake? There has been alot of fake flash media showing up.

If you get Meritline or Supermedia emails you'll notice alot of flash drives that cheap, Meritline has 8gb flash drives for 30 not even on sale atm.

I have had really good luck with Sony -R 16x Made in Malaysia.

Not sure if they come in 100 packs or not but either way I have a few empty inks so I will give them a shot.

The +R's have really been hit or miss, I have been avoiding them.

There's Kingston 4GB flash drive for $17 after rebate from http://www.meritline.com/kingston-4g...2-sd-card.html.

Edit: Oops! That's a 4GB SD card from Meritline. The 4GB flash drive is $18 after rebate from http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=204134644.
