Yes, it looks hopeful that this is a change for the positive given recent dodgy Verbatim quality.
Has the embossing on the discs changed?__________________

Yes, it is completely different. Only one line across and it has the write speeds.Quote:Originally Posted by Dalen QuaiceYes, it looks hopeful that this is a change for the positive given recent dodgy Verbatim quality.

At least you have an OM. They closed down here a little over a year ago or so.Quote:Originally Posted by ghetocowboyMy office max still have bunch of the old label spindles so I guess I have to wait till get receive the new spindles in -

Don't worry, the new packaging and disks will be everywhere eventually. Maybe this is a good time to wait and ignore all the Intelliflix spindles that are still on the shelves. I'm not buying anymore until I can get some in the new packages.Quote:Originally Posted by rolling56At least you have an OM. They closed down here a little over a year ago or so. -

At OfficeMax near me, Redwood City CA, the Verbatims are on a special display by the check out counters. It looks like they are running some sort of specials. None of them are on the regular blank media shelf.Quote:Originally Posted by ghetocowboyMy office max still have bunch of the old label spindles so I guess I have to wait till get receive the new spindles in
I find the packaging too much like TDK or Memorex, at a glance. If I were Verbatim and I know my products are superior to others, I would want my product to stand out. -

I'm on the west coast as well but have yet to even see verbatims' on the shelves here at OD I usually get them when they are on sale from BB instead. Thought about ordering some TY's from newegg but I already have over 1000 discs so I must convince the wife that I need more.

my local OM wasn't running the sale, I could order online w/8$ shipping
a friend told me they always match their online sale, he gave me 3 hp cart to take back with me, I almost felt guilty getting 50 for 7$ but they pissed me off
you have to print out the online offer__________________

You Judge by look only. Many people would not buy a store brand and love memorex. I even told them, same manufacture makes that spindle of memorex you are holding and the store brand, but under store brand, it saves you 50%. Still did not convince that customer because they go by the popular brand. I even trash memorex brand in front of him, but still did not convince him to buy store brand to save him money. If you put memorex next to verbatim, and both are on sale for the same price, I am sure memorex will outsell verbatim because in term of popularity, memorex brand is more popular since they have many products under their name, none are made by memorex. Not many people know about the media ID and they only go by the brand name.Quote:Originally Posted by learndvdAt OfficeMax near me, Redwood City CA, the Verbatims are on a special display by the check out counters.
