Even though I just recently bought a Canon printer, I picked up the Epson R280 for $39.94 after the $9.95 freight included.

Yea, I have both pages open trying to decide "which way do I go" maybe one of each at these prices. LOL

I ordered the RX680 'cause i like having the card reader. My scanner is old too.

I still haven't tried the cleaning kit for my R320 yet but i will in the next week or so.

I got the R280 but no CIS yet but I suppose if i can't get my Cyan cleaned I will either buy a used R320 (if I can find one) or just get a CIS for the R280.

My 680 is not that old and going strong so I am thinking hard about the 280 just for the ink at that price and put the printer in the closet for later.

My cousin bought 6 of R280's and the shipping came out to be free.
Cshipping is free on orders over 125 dollars).

I just picked up a 680 and it looks the 280 is back in stock I was able to add it to my cart.

280 stills show out of stock as of 1 minute ago; maybe they are going to honor the price and ship the 280s when available.

It was in stock when I posted, it now says out of stock.

yeah thanks for the post. I have my RX680 ($79.99) here but haven't taken it out of the box yet. It will be my backup to my R320. I still have inks left for it and they won't work with the RX680.

Same here Bob, RX680 is still in the box(hiding under the spare bed), but as soon as the wife goes shopping this afternoon!!!

ahahahaha well my wife knows i have mine so i'm good to go there. I'll probably do away with my scanner i have now and put the RX680 in it's place in the next few weeks.

Ordered up the 680 a couple of days ago while it was still 79.00. Already have one that is running as good as new now but figured with the cost of inks I might as well get another one for the price of a set of cartridges.

Are the carts full that come with the RX680?

The Duplexing feature will be nice on the RX680 too

By the way fellow members the print head cleaning solution works great.

Bob, they are full cartridges however they are not the Extra Capacity cartridges. Still the makes the printer purchase worthwhile.

Epson site says G&G carts don't provide as vivid of colors as the Epsons carts. Is this true?
