I personally don't recommend trying to burn MII DL Verbs as fast as you might be able to burn MIS DL Verbs. Get it? For MII, stick with 2.4x. With MIS, you can do 4x or 6x easy.

Now, if you happen to think that the MII and MIS are exactly the same, then go right ahead and do whatever. If you think you can burn an MIS MKM 001 at 8x and an MII MKM 001 at 8x and get the same quality result consistently, I'll be a happy camper.
My point is the "up to 8X" Verb +DL is MKM 001 only.

I haven't tried any MII MKM001 yet. I will stay away from MII as long as possible.

The writing speed is in your burner firmware. The Plextor 716A will write up to 8X. The Plextor 760A is up to 6X. The Sammy 203B is only up to 4X.

You may use slower writing speed for better burning result. Just like I write most of 16X media @ 8X, no matter TY, CMC Verb or Prodisc Verb.

This camera rocks. Need to charge the battery some more before I do a more detailed test. But had to check it out first to make sure it worked. One business day from Dell SB with free ship. Wow.

CANON FTW! Don't be fooled by MP, all compact camera are pretty much the same, get the cheapest, since they always change styles every 7-12months. Lose value real fast. Canon more reliable, and did I not mention they make censors for the big boys?

Sony does not make a full frame sensor... that's the big toys I'm thinking of hehe . They are merely entering the professional league against a juggernaut, dont worry I'm not a Canon rep. Just a Nikon addict that sold his soul to Canon.

Compact cameras mostly use APS size (the smallest) sensors and will all perform at near identical results. Lens zoom and minimal distortion is what you should look for in compact cameras, good battery life, easy interface, supports SD (cheaper) and a strong flash!

Fujifilm is another alternative for compacts, great ISO range.

Good Photo community for reviews www.dpreview.com

Re: Best Buy Ad for 10/21 to 10/27

Just bought Canon SD850IS, 8MP Digital Elph with built in image stabilizer, yesterday at OD for $240, free Epson R280 After Rebate with the purchase of the camera. The camera is a good deal and the epson printer has direct inkjet disc printing. The camera is normally running for $349.99 somewhere else. The only rebate involves is the $75, which is the price of the printer. So you get the printer for free. If you dont need the printer, $240 for the camera alone is a good deal

No problem, I started as an amateur and now I'm working for a disclosed fashion company...hope you guys come to enjoy photography as mush as I do!

Do your research before you by a digital camera, don't be fooled by marketing. Most online reviews are very bias, so its best you bring a stick of memory and test it out for yourself @ B&M camera shop and don't HESITATE to haggle the price!

Large professional stores like Samy's are known to inflate prices. Best to buy online, but you don't have the option to try it out.

You will get over it. LOL Onsale at BB for $34 for 2GB.

PS the Sony is turning out to be a good investment for me. Just the right size with a 10X optical real lense. Auto pop up flash/red eye/face recognition. I am impressed. My second choice was the Cannon 100IS/also a very fine camera.
Got to say I have never had a bad Sony product so far or Cannon either.

Most good cameras will take great outdoor shots. I needed one for in-doors with varying light conditions for a good price and not so large that you need a fork lift to use it. LOL
It looks like to me if you like that camera you should jump on it. Nice picture man.

Re: Best Buy Ad for 10/21 to 10/27

I was just talking with my brother (who lives in the USA) and he told me that he wanted a camcorder (Sony with 60 GB HDD) and that he would get me a Digital Camera if I got him the best bargain for the camcorder

I told him to wait for Black Friday

I want : This Cam

ghetocowboy : does this camera apply to the 20% off sale ?

http://www.officedepot.com/ddSKU.do?...0250&An=browse

It does not show sale price but the weekly ad says : 20% Off Canon & Kodak® Cameras $199 or more !!

etp : Thanks , this trip was one of the best (sea , weather , beautiful places ,nice pics , Verbatim media )

Thinkdiesel : Good advice but I can't test cameras in-stores because I live across the ocean But from what I seen with Canon 5.0 MP , I am sure 7.1MP or 8.0 MP would not dissappoint

negritude : I was in Hurghada Not in Giza

Digital camera's picture quality is decided by the size of digital sensor. Larger sensor = better picture. The number of MP is just another marketing gimmick.
