Good, they fixed it.. the rebate was previously for $20...
Props to Newegg for breaking this price barrier for the BF weekend!
No other etailers have followed anywhere near this price!!

Well, the egg giveth and the egg taketh away.. now back to $70 with $20 rebate again. The $59 drive sold out quick.. apparently consumers thought that was a great deal not to have to hassle with rebates.

I"m not diappointed I bought my 10x for $80 last November.. it serves my needs well... however this proves my point.. the price for comparable 12x drives should be $40 - $65, not $70 - $150 without any special sale.

Many of the drives are now back around $80-$100.. expect the prices to drop officially when HP, Dell & Lenovo release 2012 desktop lineups that have blue ray recorders standard... February, March? I'd guess $40-$65 range to be the new benchmark. I doubt any blu ray drive maker is re-inventing the wheel here.. so prices should drop.
