Do you know if Acronis can be installed on more than one computer that you own? (retail package bought from Frys)

I think it depends on which particular package you buy.

The Acronis True Image Home 2011 I bought online a year ago included serials/licenses for three computers, and I just installed the last one on my new laptop this month.

But you probably need to check closely before buying.

Acronis 2012 calls home, you cannot have it on more than one computer but if you get a new computer you can switch the serial to that one.

Word to the wise. Since True Image 2012 came out there have been many, many reports of issues. The biggest one is recovery media that won't boot on most new machines and seriously hosed Windows after trying to uninstall Acronis. Visit their support forums and read thoroughly before buying. Odds are good you'll need to buy or build a WinPE boot disc to be able to restore. When you see a dedicated sticky thread on getting a refund, and special tools offered by Acronis to clean up sloppy uninstalls, be afraid.

Also be aware of their seriously limited support services.

That was very true with Acronis 2011 and before. But ATI 2012 has made big strides in back ups and Cloning. They have what they call a Plus Pack that will restore to disimilar hardware and it works, I have used it. It does cost a little more than ATI but you can find it on sale many places.
