The E4300 can use slower memory due to it's higher multiplier (9x versus 7x on the E6300), thus allowing overclock with slower FSB. With a good motherboard and good memory, I would always choose the E6300 over the E4300. But for $80, this would be a hell of a deal. Too bad it didn't last very long at all. For those on a severe budget, I noticed that Fry's has the E2140 and a cheap ECS motherboard for $99 this weekend. | |

| Re: $80.00 Intel Core 2 Duo E4300 retail box the E2140 only has 1 meg of cache shared between 2 cores. I think the E4300 is much better. The E4300 should clock very well, When it first came out, Anandtech got it up to 3.8 are cooling because of low cache and generally lower cache allow more headroom for overclocking just like the E6300 is a better oc chip than the 4meg cache version of E6600

| Re: $80.00 Intel Core 2 Duo E4300 retail box But since the price got back to $120 again is not worthwhile to get it for $80 was OK . |
