Bargain Basement Discuss, $40 MIR for Samsung 225BW 22" Widescreen LCD through August at Community forum; http://images10.newegg.com/uploadfil...ug3107ll97.pdf This is a very good monitor and the only 22" with a solid base and fully adjustable stand. (I have two of these already in my video edit suite). Newegg will usually offer free shipping on this model 2-3 times a month, and pricegrabber will show even lower delivered

Newegg will usually offer free shipping on this model 2-3 times a month, and pricegrabber will show even lower delivered prices from a number of emerchants periodically.

Anandtech reviewed an expensive HP 22" model yesterday and mentioned the 225BW as a better alternative.

This model has been out of production for a month or two so they are trying to clear them out now. The current Samsung 22" (226BW) is more expensive, has a cheaper, less adjustable stand, glossy frame (some people prefer a matte finish), and suffered from a panel shortage so what you get could be one of three good-to-not-so-good panels. Kinda a crap shoot.

True. That is why I mentioned the etaillers, who normally have a much better price than the retaillers, no sales tax, and free shipping.

I suppose the 226BW will get a $40 non-B+M rebate in a few more months when it is being closed out as the 225BW is now...

I have seen the 225BW offered recently for as low as $285 delivered, and this $40 rebate brings it down to around $245 -- the typical price of an Acer 22" with the "duck foot special" base and stand. (Check one out in person if you want to see an LCD wobble.) I have see some Acer and Westinghouse 22-inchers going for as low as $200 (before sales tax) at B+M stores. But if you need a solid base and fully adjustible stand but don't want to spend $350+ on an HP model then the 225BW is the one to buy. You have one -- don't you like it?
