WMP 11 Scan Directory

I am hoping someone can help me. I am using WMP 11 and I can't find a way to remove the My Music folder as a scan directory. I do not want to include any of the music files in that folder and i keep all my music on a different drive. I haven't found any way to remove the My Music folder from being scanned. Please if anyone knows how to fix this I'd really appreciate it!

Hey Brian, I hope this helps... Delete all media from WMP's library. (this just makes it easier so you dont double up on songs) Then click:
-File
-Add to Library
-In the new window there should be two options that you need to select
-My Personal Folders
and
-My Folders and thoes that I can Access
Select "My Personal Folders"
Under the monitored folders heading there should be some folders already selected. The first folder is your rip folder (default setting is you "my music"file, this file cannot be unselected but can be change, read on to find out how to change it)
Single click the ones you dont want and click the ignore button, click add to add folders that you want scanned.
If this doesnt help you may need to change the file you rip your songs into.
Click:
-Tools in the WMP menu
-Options
then the Rip Music Tab
Under "rip music to this location" click change and select a folder of your choice. This changes the first file in the monitered section, hope this helps, let us know if you need more info.
