| Hiya, I wonder everytime I burn a disc if I should use both Rock Ridge & UDF, or just UDF only. (I don't need Juliet). Rock Ridge gives these extensions: (Wikipedia) * Longer file names (up to 255 bytes) * Fewer restrictions on characters allowed in filenames * UNIX-style file modes, user ids and group ids * Symbolic links * Deeper directory hierarchy In theory I know the Rock Ridge extension makes no difference with UDF, as it's an extension to ISO9660. I've tried to research if UDF covers everything the Rock Ridge extension gives, making it's use unnecessary, but can't find any information. So, does this mean if I'm burning a disc for Linux use, I MUST burn both Rock Ridge & UDF, in order to use advanced features? Am I missing out on anything if I only burn UDF? What about large files? I burnt a disc yesterday with a single 4.4GB MKV Video file on it. Can the Rock Ridge Extension even access such a large file? This is ALWAYS making me think a lot EVERY time I burn a disc - I need mental help... Thanx ^_^ |

| RR is for advanced feature usage within ISO9660. So when using ISO then also use RR, I certainly do it. I use UDF/ISO for data everytime. You cannot use RR and ISO9660 when using files larger than 2GB...
