Okay, here's the problem. First I have Windows XP sp3 and I'm trying to use the ImageTool from Nero Backitup4. The idea is to create a boot disc and run the backup software with a Linux version loaded into memory. I make the boot disc as directed and boot from a DVD/CD (I tried it both ways with two different DVD players). The program will start to boot and show a Backitup splash screen. I turn off the splash screen and watch all the Nero *.7z files unpack and load (there is a narrow window at the bottom of the screen saying the Backitup files are loading). The last message is "the program has been loaded into memory", at which point the screen goes blank, the program stalls and the computer locks up. I have contacted Nero Support and their first responce was for me to turn off the Splash screen (apparently they didn't read my entire emai). I am waiting for their next reply and I'm hoping someone on this forum could give me a direction or fix. THX, Brad
