For me I found Nero 7.5.1.1 to be buggy (specially Nero Recode). I did a clean install of XP and installed 7.5.1.1 and even though Hero Recode has the same version as Nero 7.5.0.2 it won't recode a dvd movie, it would stop reading but you can still see the elapsed time is still going.

I'm suspecting it's conflicting with a particular program I use but I'm not sure what? Because it did work before (Nero Recode)! After I installed Nero 7.5.1.1 Iinstalled the following programs:

AVG Free
MS Office Pro 2003
ConvertXtoDVD
StyleXP

And after those were installed, Nero Recode started to play up. But with Nero 7.5.0.2 I have no problems with Nero Recode at all.

Hopefully the official release is different.

The only part of Nero that I really care about is the core Nero Burning ROM application. If there are some notable improvements in that, I'd be happy. Else, not so much.

I find DVD Shrink still works better than Nero Recode (even though it was coded by the same guy) and I use other apps for all the other things that ULTRA seems to want to try to do. I just have better luck with them.

I just tried Nero Recode in Nero 7.5.1.1 and it worked!?!?!?? Yeah this time I just uninstalled Nero 7.5.0.2 through Control Panel and installed Nero 7.5.1.1 this morning.

I tried Nero Recode this morning and it encoded up to 100% and and just before it was suppose to finish I got an error. This afternoon I tried it again and it worked! It's bloody weird.

I'm not complaining, just merely posting my experiences.

I have recoded the main movie from two DVDs to DVD and from one to Nero Digital without any hickups whatsoever, using Recode from 7.5.1.1.

Are you recoding to DVD or to Nero Digital and which options do you use (adv. analysis, ND profiles and the like)? Does it stop right at the beginning or somewhere in the middle? Does it happen with every DVD (especially ones that worked before)? What do you use as source and target (DVD drive/burner/harddisk/...) ?
Were all of those installed when you tried Nero 7.5.0.2?
Actually I doubt StyleXP and MS Office would clash with Recode. I am not sure about the other two, I have never used those.
Anyway, you could try uninstalling the potentially problematic apps and see if it makes any difference.

Another possibility would be that some DLLs and filters which are used by Recode were changed between 7.5.0.2 and 7.5.1.1, even though Recode.exe is still the same. But then again, it works fine here, so far.

Well all seem to work now.I haven't had any errors or whatsoever.

And yeah I had the Nero 7.5.0.2 installed with the programs I mentioned plus more.

Well there servers must hard at work. It is downloading but at only 8kbs a sec , at this rate it will take 5 hours. And I have a t-1 connection.

Any guess on why the torrent is about 600 mb and the one on the web site is about 200mb?

The language specific downloads are 200MB each. If you get the all-language download it's 600MB. So my guess is that the torrent includes more than one language.

Any luck with this on Vista RC1?

I thought that too but when I checked their FTP - I believe the all in one listed on their FTP is 323 mb

It may be that the torrent refers to an Install CD that contains also additional software (like SIPPS, see the first post of this thread) not present in the "official" web installer...

I pulled it down from their FTP servers in about 15 minutes this morning.

I gave up on their http download access a long time ago.

A torrent client ? Yes. I have had great luck with utorrent. Have used Azureus and BitTornado successfully also. I find utorrent has worked best for me.
