Nero Vision 4.1.0.13

I am still having problems with creating a DVD-Video. Everytime I import a captured MPEG, put some 3d animated text on it and save the project, it crashes the next time I open it up when I try to edit the video. This has been happening since Nero 6.6's last two updates. In Nero 6.6 it would freeze with the hourglass. Now in Nero 7, Nero Vision completely disappears and Smart start reappears.

Clicking on the Chapter Icon in the Select Menu area will also crash the program.

Clicking on the chapter icon in the preview window will also crash the program.

Menus are dead once burned to DVD.

Nero still shows up as Demo in the control panel. Minor but annoying after a nice 100 dollars was layed down on this beta software.
Nero Update appears to be broken still. Can't connect to internet.

mp3 files burned to audio CD come out the wrong length. I have 30min audio files that are burned as 60min tracks. Smaller files seem to burn at the wrong length also just not so noticable with a 2min file.

Windows media player (without the nero plug-in) burns them the proper length of 30min.

Nero 7.0.5.4 will not even let me install. I uninstalled the previous version (7014) completely, and the new version keeps throwing up a warning to the effect that a newer version of Nero software is already installed and must be removed. Then the installer exits.

Had absolutely no problems installing over the top of 7.0.1.4, but I also noticed the annoying "Demo" thing is still there...

Upgraded and now my PC spontaneously reboots after the windows xp logo everytime. Does bootup in safe mode so I can at least back up stuff before reinstalling XP. I tried deleting all the Ahead/Nero folders and reg entries for over an hour and still same problem. Weird thing is I can't even bootup in Safe mode with network since that also causes spontaneous reboot. Not only is the upgrade bloated at 100mb but now it kills your OS to boot.

just got it took nero 7.0.1.4 off put the new one on no problems yet the annoying demo thing is fixed as well maybe you should take the old one competely off then install new one

Like many others on Internet - InCD 5 did NOT magically appear after Nero 7 install...

NOT on previous 7.0.14b version (or whatever it was) .. NOR on currently, new, installed - 7.0.54 one

My problem is with Nero Vision 4.1.0.13.

When I try to create a DVD by making 1 or more movies from QuickTime (.mov) files, then try to just cut the beginning of the movie (using cut mode or otherwise), I either get no video at all (I only here audio, no video is present), or the encoding starts at the wrong place. Preview of the playback seems to no longer work very well either.

Initial tests of a work-around: I can create a movie, export it to an .mpg (MPEG-2), then use the .mpg (with the aforementioned cut) with no problems (so far...although I haven't actually made it to the point to actually burn a DVD yet). Note: The videos play fine in the Quicktime Player.

My feeling is that this may be a new problem with Quicktime (.mov) files...since it worked with the previous version. (4.1.0.9?) Maybe due to the newly supported formats?

I have attempted to uninstall, use the general clean tool (7) and re-install with the same results.

On a positive note: I was having some problems burning DVDs (some sort of 'undefined error') with the previous version of Nero Vision/Nero Express/NeroCmd, etc. And that problem does seem to be resolved (thank you!). I think it was because I added a Virtual Drive bringing my CD/DVD device count to 3...and according to release notes, this was something that was fixed.

After some time I successfully donloaded and installed Nero 7 But to download user guide/helpfile for nero home
I get a message "a popup window was blocked"any suggestions. Iam only a beginner

ok finally solved my problem. it appears that Nero 7 doesn't play well with Applocale. Started it off in Hebrew mode and it finally decided my system was English.

"cannot load InCD API", that's what I get when the latest Nero was installed (don't forget u need to choose custom setup, or how is it called?, so u can choose incd, cause in the normal installation, it is not checked, u need to check it urself

I get an error message when trying to update within nero .Http cannot establish connection ,then it redirects to their update page. 100 meg file each time. I think that sucks.
