Nero & InCD Discuss, How to Reinstall Mp3 plugin after a cleanup? at Burning Software forum; Can anyone tell me how to reinstall the Mp3 Plugin after a Nero Cleanup? I havethe plugin on a disk, but cant get it back into Nero . Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I'm using Nero 7 and I click on either circled area (my plug-in was a Lame MP3 Encoder). That takes me to the product setup where I click on license. Then, I add and enter the serial number.

Thanks jeff53404. That worked, but when I go add files to convert, the program asks says I need a "Dedicated plug in". I am using Nero 7 (Latest download) & the Nero Mp3 Pro plug in. I also don't see an option besides "Convert Files" to rip tunes into Mp3's in the Nero Smart Start. Am I missing something? I apologise for my lack of knowledge, but this is kind of new to me. Thanks again!

I suspect there are many better music file converter apps than Nero and many of the best are free.

I'm just ripping. If you have suggestions on a better Ripping program, I'm all ears. I appreciate it. Not to get off subject, but are there differences or do they (ripping programs) all pretty much operate the same?

EAC is probably the best soft, but a little more complicated to Set/use

CDex or Eac (Exact Audio Copy) are probably the 2 best rippers out there & they're both free.

I personally favour CDex over EAC as I find it simpler & it'll do a free database lookup for album/track titles but EAC supporters would suggest that it does a more exact copy.

Take your pick of these 2 excellent apps.

For free burning of an Audio CD you've the choice of Burrrn (www.burrrn.net) or CDBurner XP Pro which also does MP3 CDs/DVDs. Both are far better than Nero IMO.
