getting blank cds after successful burning

Hi,
I have a laptop (hp dv6146eu) and a strange thing happens:

-> after a successfull burning (10-15 minutes) my CD-RW is still empty ... nothing is there

I tried different burning softwares (nero 6614, 785; sonic; cdburnerxp pro 3) also udma check... and the same thing... my cd is empty...

After some uninstalls - reinstalls if i try to burn at 10x it's ok the data is their... but if i choose at 4x then no data writing... (again I tested all softwares) and I changed the dvd writer also .... the result is the same...

(used dvd writers: uj-850s and sn-s082d and i have last FW at both of them)

Any suggestions?

Try to disable the burning function on your Windows (Operating System).

What brand of CD-R DVD you are using try to get good brand name like sony, Verbatim, Fuji or even Maxell. That is might make a difference.

If you're really using CD-RW , as opposed to CD-R , then burn at the max speed they allow. There's no advantage to burning these slower. So in your case select the 10x burn speed.

hi,
I use verbatim, memorex, philips, tdk and even no brand. I start to use cd-rw for testing only... because I destroyed many cd-R and for now I just test to write 2-3 files on it.

If I use only 10x burn speed on laptopn then I cannot burn boot cd for my other computer... because it don't wanna boot from 10x burned cd... (my laptop eather)...
