| CD Copy using RAW MODE option Hi, I have a question regarding cd copying using Nero burning rom 6. In the Read options tab: What difference does it make if I copy a CD with the "read sectors in Raw Mode" option CHECKED and what happens if I copy a CD with that option UNCHECKED. What would be the difference in the two copied cds ?? Nero support said that using the "read sectors in Raw Mode" option makes a 1:1 copy of the original CD, so if that option is UNCHECKED then it's not a 1:1 copy ?? doesn't everyone want a 1:1 copy of a cd ?? Pleas help ..... |

| Re: CD Copy using RAW MODE option coocked read= 2048 bytes/sector (only data part, ECC/EDC is regenerated) raw read= 2352 bytes/sector (data part + ECC/EDC info) raw+subcode read= same as raw read, but also includes 96 bytes of subchannel data P-W so for a *near* *perfect* 1:1 you would need a raw read + subcode extraction.

| Re: CD Copy using RAW MODE option Thanx for ur reply, Pandor. So ur saying that for a "near perfect" copy I need a "raw+subcode" read right ?? So in the "read options" tab in Nero burning rom 6, I should activate "Read sectors in Raw Mode" and also "Read all subchannel data". And this should give me the best possible copy of the original cd right ??? Also, shouldn't everyone need a Raw Mode copy, if thats the best way to replicate a cd; whats the use of cooked mode copies ??? |
