| Hi there, I'm using Nero Lite 7.7.5.1 and Microsoft Vista Ultimate Edition. My PC specs are: P4 3.0 GHz, 2 GB DDR-2 RAM, 50 GB free HDD and Asus DRW 1608 P2. I have installed latest firmware and updates Both my HDD and DVD driver is in DMA mode. I have already used my DVD writer with WinXP SP2 and burned many CDs and DVDs (with different types of media) with maximum speed (e.g: 40x for CD 16x for DVD-RW) Whenever I start using Vista Ultimate burning CD/DVDs become problem for me: I can't burn any kind of media over these speeds: CDs for 12x and DVDs for 1.5 max. speed. I've checked MS, Nero and other various sites regarding this problem but I can't find either any explanation or fixes. Is there anyone facing same problem? Regards, |

| Hi and Welcome! Please check if DMA is enabled for your drive: http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=101616 Your Asus drive should be connected by a 80 wire 18" (46cm) flat ribbon cable. In addition: There is already a newer version of Nero available. (But this won't fix your problem) Michael |
