Is a verbatim 40x12x48 a good writer or crappy?

Just wondering guys if my new writer is a good one or so so or crappy?

hmmmmmmm, i bought it off of ebay and have not received it yet. Will it say on it if its made by liteon? Alll the auction said was it was a verbatim.

I have one, and it's a Lite-On. The picture on the box is the typical Lite-On face plate with a single button and the Lite-On style 40x12x48x on it.

If you get the drive, you can tell by looking at it. www.cdrinfo.com has several pictures of the typical Lite-On drive in it's review of 40x drives. The Verbatim I have looks like this, except it says Verbatim on the tray. Also, if you look at the label on the top of the drive, they have similar labels with the same serial number/manufacture date. This article has pictures of the Lite-On and CenDyne (Lite-On) drives.
