sony dvd DW-U18A problem

damn sony, i got this dvd burner and it sux, used to work fine, but all of a sudden i can't even burn stuff anymore
when writing the short lead out, there's a session fixation error, and could not perform end of disc-at-once, using nero.

any help as to what problem my dvd burner's havin?

also, i'm a complete noob in teh firmware stuff, so i dun really understand the topics in the (Read before post) parts, i gathered something about u can update the firmware of this wif one of the liteon ones? but would that help my burning problem?
