Is there a way to make a LiteOn Combo SOHC 5236V into a DVD/RW burner?

If anyone could help me thanks.

what it does right now its a DVD/CD rewriteable.

your drive can't write DVDs, only read them. so there's no way to turn it into a dvd-writer.

In response to NERO FX.

You have posted the file "EP53" which I assume is for the DH-20A3L drive, but I notice your drives are other models. Does this firmware work with your LH-20A1H? I have a new one (the LH-20A1L) that is not working at all. I keep getting a message that the media is not a DVD.

The DH-20A3x drives use a different chipset, so the DH-20A3L EP53 firmware can not work on a LH-20A1L drive. Do not even try to flash it.
