    I agree with you. this is a contradiction. They already have the DH-20A3L on e the market which is no different to this one but they have launched this one anew (seems like just continuing with the old name). Hope someone from Lite-On reads this thread.

    So are you saying that the DH-20A3L is the same drive as the LH-20A1L? I'm having support issues with the 20A1L because Lite-On is completely ignoring this drive with firmware updates. About half of the discs I've tried in the drive don't burn correctly. If this is the same drive, maybe it can be crossflashed.

    They are NOT the same, and trying to crossflash would leave your drive dead. [ They have different chipsets, among other things, which just wouldn't work. ]
