my dead lite 24102b

I have a lite 24102b. It shows up on my bios and also in the device manager as device working properly. However if I place a disc in it and try to access it by clicking on it. I get G:/ is not assessible, the device is not ready.

The problem started when my drive tray started to eject on it own, with or without a disc. At first I thought it was a virus or that netbus thing. Did some checks but found nothing. I Reformated my pc and discovered the drive would stay close until I opened it. After that it would eject on its own still. I decided to flash it. After I flashed it it no longer ejected on its own, however I have a new problem. I uninstalled my nero software, changed the drive letter, switched the slave and masted jumpers, bios to auto detect. Still no luck. The light on the drive is out and only come on when rebooting or ejecting disc. Also my the cd rom I use to load my software sometimes ejects on its own, however I can get it to work. I am lost on this one.

What firmware is on it now?

I am using 5s5A now. I was also trying to locate the earliest version of firmware. I read somewere that someone had a similar problem and flashed using 5s04 (I think) to fix the problem.
