| I have just brought a MSI dvd burner and it looks just like a Lite-on burner even comes with the same bundled software,so i was just wondering if it was a lite-on under a different name, the reason i am asking is that first of all it was £30 cheaper and since i have had it the burner has burnt for me many discs without coasters using + and - media {cheap and expensive type} using all types of burning progs{nero, dvd clone, dvd mate, xcopy, dvd shrink, and many more, also these dvds are great with standalone dvd players,i have tested them on 6 different players and all played perfectly.Am i just lucky or is it just a great burner. |

| Perhaps this thread will help. Read OC's post, seems that burner may be a Sanyo CRD-BPDV2.

| This is your drive: Optorite DD0401 Yes, all MSI drives ending on -A in the model number is made by Accesstek/optorite. All drives ending on -M in the model number is made by them (MSI). And optorite is based on a Sanyo chipset and some sanyo design, the earlier optorite DVD-Writers was based 100% on the sanyo drives, but the newer ones like this one is partially designed by optorite at least.
