Hi,

I need a new SATA DVD-Writer at work.
My HP dc7600 CMT will be replaced by a HP dc7900 CMT. The dc7900 doesn't have any IDE Ports so I need a SATA version instead of my old DVD-Writer.

I can order one of the following models:

LG GH22NS AUAU
LG GH22LS AUAU

LiteOn IHAS124-19
LiteOn IHAS224-19
LiteOn IHAS324-32
LiteOn IHAS424-32

The drive should be a reliable reader and writer.
The DVD+R, DVD+RW and the CD-R writing quality should be great.
Normaly we use Verbatim DVD+R and CD-R media and rarely Imation DVD+RW media.
There are no special features required. But Bitsetting on DVD+R would be nice.

Any suggestions?

Well, read speeds (for DVD video) can be improved with MCSE

I personally don't like the CD-R performance of Liteon DVD writers. No idea if things have improved with the 24x drives.

That's a good one, my iHAP322 doesn't read/burn cd's anymore, it died after 3 months and it only burned 10 cd's, the only good part is that i only use my liteon as a dvd ripper/dvd scanner.
