CMC MAG E01, 8x branded, burned at 16x, All On (5:45)
This 16x burn looks pretty good. A lot of the PIFs are in the last PIF block near the end.
Because 12x is so slow, with this drive, I burn all 8x media at 16x (16x = 5:45, 12x = 7:40).__________________

Hi, C0deKing
Thanks for those tests and scans.
I feel a little embarrassing because I can't 100% make sure the modification is better than before(for all discs/drives), that's why these test firmware exist here, but I always think that "should I expect user to do that with their resouce?"

Hi Wind
Please don't be embarrassed. I fully understand that and I'm more than happy to try these firmwares on the understanding that sometimes they will be better and sometime not.
Hopefully by doing this it will mean better official firmware for everyone in the future.

Verbatim MCC03RG20 (Made in Taiwan by CMC) @16x - HT/OHT On
I've found that the DH-20A3H often produces a higher number and level of PIE than my old LH-20A1P.
MCC03RG20_16x_HT_TEST.png
MCC03RG20_16x_HT_TEST_jitter.png
This is the result of the same disc (same batch) without HT/OHT, firmware YP5W.

And this is the result burned with a real DH-20A4P.

CMC E01, HT/OS/OHT all on, 16X was available and selected but the drive only reached 8X. Burn time was 8:35
This is by far the best burn I have had with this media with this drive.

Wind, I've updated the first post to include the YV5H and XV5H jitter versions as well as the latest.
Do you think people should continue to use YV5J and XV5J or are they better off using the YV5H and XV5H at the moment?
Looking forward to the next release.

Maxell 16x +R ( RICOHJPNR03 ) burned at 20x and 16x
The 20x burn shows a very loud vibration of the media.
The 20x burn with CMCMAG AM3 doesn't show that vibration.
The both burns have perfectly reading curves in H44N but the quality scans are average to poor.__________________
