Greetings C0deKing!

Thanks for the enhanced firmwares!

But I have one concern, I have a 20A1H, backed up the EPROM, and upgraded to the -fb eos firmware, but my MCC04 with OS on still only allows 18x writing. I also used the -eos only firmware, but it does the same thing. Is this a bug, or is MCC04 permanently limited to 18x writing?

Hi IlAl2ieLlI

Please try downloading the firmware again (new version 22/01/2007) and let me know if you get 20x offered for MCC004. I was going to limit 16x media to 18x but recently a tester showed me some successful results at 20x. I must have posts the 18x version instead of the 20x version.

Just updated the firmwares and the ones up now are the proper versions!

Now I must test my MCC04 at 20x, although even at 18x this batch performs very poorly. But when there is a faster speed it must be tested!

Thanks IlAl2ieLlI. Don't be surprised if poor quality 16x media drops back in speed during the burn, when you try to burn it at 20x. I suspect during an OPC relink it looses tracking.

It looks like media problem - heavy sunlight heated spindle. The edges of all discs are damaged. Try @8x

The drive decided 12x was a better choice. The fastest and best burn, by far, I've had from this media.
