| I picked up the Lite-On LH-20A1s today. So far I'm very happy with it. Contrary to popular belief, it's actually pretty quiet (at least mine is). I'm posting scans from it's first three burned discs. I haven't made any changes to it before burning, so it's 100% original and new. Here's the results: Media = TYG02 Software= Nero DVD-Video Scanned with Lite-On 802S@832S -2X burn <-Doesn't like burning these at 2X -8X burn -4X burn ~Jason

| Unbranded TYG03 DVD-R 16x (126) Burned @ 20x. One would think the drive would have trouble with the TRT if the disc was really that bad.

| hmm crosssg, how did you get the jitter to show in your 8x scans? Check above at post no. 30, his scan doesn't show jitter like mine. btw, I am using the 20A1S on my i975 onboard SATA .

| MacClipper, make sure the jitter option is enabled in the DQ advanced options dialog by clicking the advanced button. The jitter is displayed at the end of the Quality scan.

| hey CK, thanks for the info, will do when I get back home. Already using the latest scoobie, cheers. btw, my burns tend to scan well on this new 20A1S itself but show rather high spikey PIFs on the BenQs. Seems most are scanning their burns on Ltn burners only here (logically ).

Check out latest posts at this page in CD/DVD Speed thread and particularly this post by Erik D. BTW, I still trust BenQ's jitter report more then the ones on Liteys. My thanks goes to rolling56 for pointing me in right direction. |

| heheh, logical as in this being the Ltn forum and not the BenQ.

No problem if other burners eg. BenQ are selected though, strange.
