can you please rescan the disc @8x, it's the forum standard for comparison of 5/6s drives, but i think it's also representative in this case..

Impressive, almost TYG02 or at least MCC-like. Which batch? GH00...?
I wonder what a 16x or 18x burn would look like, maybe it would be without that ugly PIE cluster.

Anyway, it's not that impressive when compared (speed-wise) to the 18X burns on the H12, sub 5 minutes on TYG03. Excellent burn quality though.. looks like L-O have finally got the 16X TY strats right.

I hope this is not off-thread but I didn't want to start a new one.

Can someone post the specs of the LiteOn LH-20A1H in English? And does the drive support all the utilities supported by the 6S drives?
Also, the current retail price would be nice as well.

I would not expect the specifications to be available until the drive is officially announced and the same applies to the price.
There may be a non LightScribe version as well - LH-20A1P.
The LH-20A1H should also work with the current tools as well.

Seems like a bug. Got this issue with my BenQ DW1640 too. CD/DVD Speed shows a smaller size for progress position (4463MB) while the ISO is a full size 4481MB. (well, almost)

Thanks, I was referring more to the scanning utilities, like KProbe and DVDScan. I just noticed you scanned with CD-DVD Speed.

A screenshot of the drive's capabilities and strategies on the media you posted earlier using DVD Identifier would be nice(if that's not asking too much.)

Long lead-in (50+ sec.) prevented faster burn. At 20X produces poor scans and Transfer Rate Tests reflect problems at the end. I wouldn't burn anything important at 20X with this drive. 16X looking much better in my limited use but then there are a lot of very good 16X burners.

well..I have another issue with my LH 201AH....it will not read all pressed discs with ANYDVD

I used Devils Wears Prada(gotten for my wife and I back up all discs)..well the H22N can read no issue(takes 20min to read and create .iso to burn)

LH-201AH..crashes everytime at 48% read cyclic redundancy error..brand new disc no marks, scratches etc....

Damn..not so good of a reader(when it works its fast), cant burn faster than 6x after LS, and makes more errors on burns vs my H22N(will check against my new 1655 but this is unfair as I burn 12x sb on wopc off)

BTW IMHO..I get better burns with SB on/OS on/OH off) at 18x on my MCC004(crap batch)

That sucks. It seems that LiteOn had a rash of releases of this drive IMHO.
A couple of my friends @ LGSI got this drive also. They are testing at this moment. I'll let you know how it goes.

Well mine has no problem reading, but I can not make a back-up using Nero 6 or 7 to burn with ANYDVD off or on, but DVD Decrypter will burn ok and I can use create data disc from nero and it burns well, also burn Img. file with nero fails on a back-up
The H22 is a AMAZING drive!!!
