| Got me a new drive, so I can let my LH-20A1P be itself... Drive made in Sept. '07. Came with 9P53-A. Backed up EEPROM and firmware, and immediately flashed to 9PV1. Burned this... Maxell 16x DVD-R RITEKF1 Written at 16x OHT=enabled; all else=default 9PV1 FBL EOHT 6 [unreleased, AFAIK] The disc had physical flaws at the outer edge, which accounts for the end. I'm not entirely certain, but I think the additional spiking is probably just a bad disc.

May be a placebo effect, but jitter seems to be lower by a pinch [but I think EOHT5 did that with my A1P, too, versus EOHT6 and EOHT4].

All I have to say is that this little drive is impressing me. Best PIF result I've had with any media.  Jitter and PIE aren't half bad, either.
